Hospice of Douglas County has been recognized as a 2026 Hospice Honors award recipient for excellence in delivering exceptional care and fostering positive patient experiences.
Hospice Honors recognizes high-performing hospice agencies based on results from the Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey. The national survey gathers feedback from families about their experiences with hospice care, including communication, responsiveness, emotional support and overall quality of care.
“This recognition is especially meaningful because it is based on the experiences of the patients and families we have the privilege to serve,” said Angie Hasbrouck, Horizon Public Health Administrator. “We are incredibly proud of our Hospice team and the compassion, professionalism and dedication they bring to this work every day. This award reflects their commitment to providing exceptional care to individuals and families during an important time in their lives.”
